Replace the head seal and shower foil: Rocket Giotto, Rocket Mozzafiato Cronometro, Rocket R58 and 1 more
Before you start
- Tools
- 12 mm ring spanner, short-bladed screwdriver, group cleaning brush (supplied), damp cloth, container for soaking
- Supplies
- replacement head seal (group gasket) (Rocket consumable, from an authorised Rocket Espresso dealer); replacement shower foil (only if the old foil is punctured), optional; espresso cleaning detergent (2 teaspoons in hot water, for soaking the spreader), optional
Warnings
- Water escaping around the portafilter handle means the head seals have dried out and need replacing. Source: Rocket Espresso user manual EN 2019 (Porta Via, Appartamento, Giotto & Mozzafiato Type V / Evoluzione R, R 58 & R 60V), hosted by bean.ch
- Leave the portafilter locked in the group when the machine is idle; it keeps the head seal from drying out early. Source: Rocket Espresso user manual EN 2019 (Porta Via, Appartamento, Giotto & Mozzafiato Type V / Evoluzione R, R 58 & R 60V), hosted by bean.ch
