Steps
- Heat the machine up; the steam boiler can stay off.
From the manual: “Heat up the machine. It is not necessary to switch on the steam boiler.”
- Fit the blind filter in the portafilter.
From the manual: “Place the blind filter into the portafilter.”
- Add cleaner, powder or tablet.

- Lock the portafilter into the group.

- Raise the brew lever for about 20 seconds so the blind filter fills.

- Move the lever to its middle position, about 45°, and let the cleaner work; do not lower it fully.

- After about half a minute, lower the lever fully so the oils drain through the group.
