Steps

  1. Run the empty grinder for 10 seconds to clear beans and grounds from the burrs and chute.

  2. Unplug the grinder and make sure it is empty of coffee.

    From the manual: “Unplug your grinder and empty it of coffee.”

  3. Pull the faceplate gently until it snaps off.

    From the manual: “Pull gently on the faceplate for it to snap off.”

  4. Undo the four larger screws marked by arrows with a Phillips screwdriver.

    From the manual: “unscrew the four larger size screws that have arrows pointing to them.”

  5. Pull the grind dial to take off the grind dial assembly.

    From the manual: “Pull on grind dial to remove the grinds dial assembly.”

  6. Press in and remove the rotating burr with its auger, the auger key and the spring, without losing any of them.

    From the manual: “Carefully remove the rotational burr/auger (the burr closest to you), auger key, and spring from the grinds chamber by pressing in.”

  7. Leave both burrs mounted: for cleaning, go no further.

    From the manual: “If you are just cleaning, do not disassemble the burrs further.”

  8. Brush the coffee dust off both burrs with the supplied brush.

    From the manual: “Using the provided brush, gently brush coffee dust off of the burrs and replace burrs.”

  9. Reassemble in reverse order: burr and auger with key and spring, dial assembly, the four screws, then the faceplate.

    From the manual: “To replace the burrs, repeat these steps in reverse order.”
