Steps

1. Take a filter basket out of a portafilter and put the blind basket (the one with no holes) in its place.

2. Lock the portafilter in as you would to make espresso.

   From the manual: “Lock the portafilter into place just like you would to make espresso.”

3. Engage the brew function and switch it off once the gauge reaches about 9 bar; do this 2-3 times. Repeat 2-3 times

   From the manual: “when pressure builds to about 9 BAR, turn the brew function off”

4. Loosen the portafilter without taking it out and switch the brew on again.

   From the manual: “Loosen but do not remove the portafilter and turn on the brew switch again.”

5. Wiggle the handle so the water flushes around the group gasket area.

   From the manual: “Wiggle the handle to loosen the portafilter a bit so that water can flush the area around the grouphead.”
