Steps

  1. Only do this if grounds are blocked between the burrs and the outlet. Start by removing the hopper.

    From the manual: “This step is only required if there is a blockage between the grinding burrs and the grinder outlet.”

  2. Set GRIND SIZE to 1, the finest setting.

  3. With a 10 mm socket, turn the burr nut clockwise just to loosen it; do not remove it yet.

  4. Set GRIND SIZE to 25, the coarsest setting.

  5. Unlock the top burr and take it out.

  6. Take off the nut, spring washer and flat washer, then carefully lift out the lower burr.

  7. Pull out the grind fan and its washers with long-nose pliers.

  8. Clear the grinds exit chute with the brush or a pipe cleaner.

  9. Take off the tamp cover and brush the chute clean.

  10. Refit with the pliers in this order: felt washer, metal washer, grind fan.

  11. Refit the lower burr with its drive pin in the cavity, then the flat and spring washers.

    From the manual: “Insert lower burr (drive pin & cavity to align). Insert flat washer & spring washer.”

  12. Tighten the nut by turning it anticlockwise.

  13. Refit the top burr and lock it.

  14. Set GRIND SIZE to 16 and put the tamp cover back.

  15. Refit the hopper and lock it.
