Steps
- Take the water filter out of the tank before any descaler goes in.
From the manual: “Ensure that the water filter is removed from the water tank before adding the descaling powder”
- Dissolve one sachet of Sage descaling powder completely in 1 litre of water, then pour it into the tank.

- With the machine off, hold 2 CUP and POWER together for 5 seconds to enter descale mode; it heats first.

- Wait until POWER, 2 CUP, CLEAN / DESCALE and HOT WATER / STEAM are all lit solid.

- Press 2 CUP to descale the coffee circuit; it runs about 25 seconds, beeps and the light turns solid.

- Remove the tank, rinse it well and refill with fresh cold water to its 2 litre maximum.

- Repeat the coffee, steam and hot water runs with fresh water to flush out the solution.
