Steps

1. Use the upturned blank insert's edge to lever the basket out of the portafilter.

   From the manual: “Turn it upside down and use its edge to pry the basket out of your portafilter.”

2. Set the blank insert (backflush disc) in the portafilter and seat it with a firm slap of your palm.

   From the manual: “slap it hard with the palm of your hand to secure it into the portafilter”

3. Lock the portafilter with the disc into the group.

   From the manual: “place the portafilter with the backflush disc into the group head”

4. Switch the brew switch on for 15 seconds, then off.

   From the manual: “activate the brew switch for 15 seconds, and then turn it off”

5. Do the on/off cycle three to five times in all. Repeat 3 to 5 times

   From the manual: “Repeat three to five times.”
