Warnings

Steps
- Use the upturned blank insert's edge to lever the basket out of a portafilter.
From the manual: “Turn it upside down and use its edge to pry the basket out of one of your portafilters.”
- Set the blank insert (backflush disc) in the portafilter and seat it with a firm slap of your palm.
From the manual: “slap it hard with the palm of your hand to secure it into the portafilter”
- Lock the portafilter into the group.
From the manual: “To perform a plain water backflush, place the portafilter into the group head.”
- Lift the brew lever fully for 15 seconds, then lower it.
From the manual: “raise the brew lever all the way up for 15 seconds, and then lower it”
- Do the lever cycle three to five times in all. Repeat 3 to 5 times
