Replace the group gasket and shower screen: Profitec Pro Drive

Before you start

Tools
flat-head screwdriver or teaspoon, cleaning brush, portafilter without filter, blind filter
Supplies
brew group gasket (Profitec P1021); E61 shower screen (C519900103)

Warnings

Steps

  1. Switch the machine off and pull the mains plug.

  2. Let the machine cool down.

  3. Unpack the new gasket and shower screen and lay them out.

  4. Set a flat-head screwdriver or teaspoon against the shower screen and lever screen and gasket out together.

  5. Take the old screen and gasket out of the group.

    From the manual: “Take the shower screen and gasket out of the brew group.”

  6. Brush the brew group clean.

    From the manual: “Clean the brew group using the cleaning brush.”

  7. Fit the new shower screen into the new gasket, with the Profitec logo facing up.

  8. Push the screen and gasket into the group by hand.

    From the manual: “Insert the shower screen with gasket into the brew group using your hand and press it in.”

  9. Hold an empty portafilter against the screen and lever it in with one movement, pressing down on the group with your other hand.

  10. Take the portafilter out again.

    From the manual: “Remove the portafilter from the brew group.”

  11. Fit the blind filter, lock the portafilter in and seat the screen with one firm movement.

    From the manual: “Insert the portafilter with blind filter in the filter group and tighten the shower screen in one movement.”
