Steps

  1. Heat the machine up until the boiler gauge shows working pressure, 1.0-1.2 bar.

  2. Brush the brew group clean with the group brush.

    From the manual: “Clean the brew group using the brew group brush.”

  3. Fit the blind filter in the portafilter and add no cleaner.

    From the manual: “It is recommended to clean the brew group from time to time without cleaner.”

  4. Lock the portafilter into the group.

    From the manual: “Clamp the portafilter into the brew group.”

  5. Lift the brew lever; the blind filter fills with water.

    From the manual: “Operate the brew group lever. The blind filter will fill with water.”

  6. Hold the lever in its middle position, about 45°.

    From the manual: “moving the group lever into the middle position, approx. 45°.”

  7. After 20-60 seconds, drop the lever fully so the water drains out through the group.

    From the manual: “Move the lever into the lower position after approx. 20-60 seconds”

  8. Repeat until only clear water comes out. Repeat up to 10 times, until the discharge runs clear

    From the manual: “until only clear water is discharged out of the infusion cylinder”

  9. Swap the blind filter for your coffee basket.

    From the manual: “Replace the blind filter with the coffee sieve again for normal operation.”
