Steps

  1. With the machine switched on, hold the double coffee button for about 10 seconds until the tank and heating LEDs flash alternately: descaling mode.

  2. Take the water tank out and empty it.

  3. Fill it with descaler and water mixed as the descaler's package specifies.

  4. Put the tank back in the machine.

  5. Set a container under the dispenser and start dispensing.

  6. Keep dispensing until the tank is empty and the tank light comes on.

  7. Take the tank out and rinse it under running water.

  8. Fill the tank with clean water and refit it.

  9. Empty the container and put it back under the dispenser.

  10. Press the dispensing button and run the whole tank of clean water through.

  11. Rinse the tank under running water once more, refill it with clean water and refit it.
