Run the automatic backflush with detergent: Lelit Elizabeth

Before you start

Tools
blind filter (supplied), portafilter, soft cloth
Supplies
espresso machine detergent powder (1 single-dose bag per backflush; first bags supplied with the machine, then Lelit PLA9201)

Steps

  1. Fit the blind filter in the portafilter and empty one sachet of detergent powder into it.

From the manual: “Insert the blind filter (C) into the filterholder (G) and pour 1 bag of detergent powder (F or PLA9201) into the filter.”

  2. Lock the portafilter into the group until its handle lines up with the padlock mark.

From the manual: “until the handle is aligned with the padlock symbol placed on the group itself”

  3. Press buttons 1 and 4 together; the cleaning cycle then runs on its own.

From the manual: “By pressing the buttons 1 and 4 at the same time, the cleaning will proceed automatically”

  4. When it ends, take the portafilter out and rinse it under hot water from the group.

From the manual: “Remove the filterholder (G) from the group and rinse it with hot water from the brewing group”

  5. Lock it back in and run the same automatic cycle again with no detergent.

From the manual: “repeat the previous operation, without using the detergent powder.”

  6. Remove the portafilter and lift the blind filter out.

From the manual: “Remove the filterholder (G) and take out the blind filter (C).”

  7. Empty the drip tray, then rinse the tray, portafilter and baskets well under the tap.

From the manual: “Empty the drip tray (15) and rinse the filterholder (G), the filters and the tray with plenty of tap water.”

  8. Wipe the group with a soft cloth to clear coffee residue and drops.

From the manual: “Clean the brewing group using a soft cloth and remove the coffee powder residues and water drops.”
