Backflush the group with a cleaning tablet: Lelit Anna PID
Before you start
- Tools
- blind filter: plastic disc CD200 in a basket, or metal FD300, group brush (ref. VD800), soft cloth
- Supplies
- espresso machine cleaning tablet (1 g tablet, one per backflush (ref. LE62535, sold separately))

Steps
- Lay the plastic blind disc (CD200) in a basket in the portafilter, or fit a metal blind filter (FD300) instead.

- Put one 1 g cleaning tablet on the blind filter.

- Lock the portafilter in as for a coffee and set the selector switch down to coffee.
From the manual: “Engage the filterholder/portafilter (8) in the coffee unit (5) just like you would do for a coffee”
- Run the pump 4 times, 4 seconds each and no longer, pausing 2 seconds between; nothing comes out of the spouts, and water drains to the tray when you stop. Repeat 4

- Leave it for one minute so the cleaner can work.
From the manual: “Let sit for one minute so that the cleanser can properly react.”
- Take the portafilter out and rest it on the drip-tray grid.

- Run the pump for a long cycle and rinse the portafilter clean of cleaner in the water from the group, then stop the pump.
From the manual: “use the water dripping from the coffee unit (5) to rinse the filterholder/portafilter and to remove any residues of the cleanser”
- Lock the portafilter back in and repeat the four 4-second cycles with the blind filter but no tablet.

- Remove the portafilter and brush the group gasket clean.

- Wipe the shower screen gently with a soft cloth if residue remains. Optional

- Run the pump for a long cycle to wash the shower screen.

- Take the blind filter out, put a normal basket back in the portafilter and lock it into the group.
