Before you start
- Tools
- blind filter, portafilter, normal filter basket
- Supplies
- espresso machine cleaning product (dose per the product's instructions)
Warnings

Steps
- Put the blind filter in the portafilter and add the dose of espresso cleaner its pack calls for.
From the manual: “Insert the blind filter into to the portafilter and put the correct amount of espresso cleaning product”
- Lock the portafilter into the group.
From the manual: “engage the portafilter into the Coffee group.”
- Move the paddle to start the group as for a normal shot, and stop it after about 15-20 seconds.
From the manual: “Move the group activation paddle for said group, as if you were making a regular cup of coffee.”
- Start and stop the group again several times, until the water released when you take the portafilter out is clear, not soapy. Repeat until the water comes out clear

- Swap in a normal filter basket and run hot water through the group several times to rinse.
From the manual: “Rinse the group using a normal filter in the portafilter, by running hot water through it several times.”
