Steps

  1. Take off the powder receiver.

  2. Grip the body and the handle together in one palm so the handle cannot turn.

  3. Turn the spin dial counterclockwise to open the grinder.

    From the manual: “Rotate the spin dial counterlockwise to disassemble the grinder.”

  4. Lift out, in this order, the spin dial, numerical dial, inner burr, spring and bearing cover; leave the central shaft in.

    From the manual: “Take out the components in order: spin dial, numerical dial, inner burr, spring, and bearing cover.”

  5. Brush the grinder and the parts clean.

    From the manual: “Use the brush to clean the grinder.”

  6. Refit the bearing cover, curved side up, then the spring.

  7. Seat the inner burr and the numerical dial on the rectangular section of the central shaft.

    From the manual: “Attach the inner burr and the numerical dial to the rectangle shape of the central shaft”

  8. Screw the spin dial on clockwise to finish the assembly.

    From the manual: “Install the spin dial and rotate clockwise to complete the assembly.”

  9. Re-zero: holding body and handle, turn the adjustment nut clockwise just until you feel resistance, without forcing it.

    From the manual: “Turn the adjustment nut clockwise until you feel resistance”

  10. Note the number at the triangle marker; that is your zero reference.

    From the manual: “Note the number (or position) indicated by the triangle marker after zeroing.”

  11. Turn the adjustment nut counterclockwise back to your grind setting and refit the powder receiver.
