Oil the o-rings after rinsing: Flair Signature
Before you start
- Tools
- clean cloth
- Supplies
- food-safe o-ring lubricant (light, odourless, flavourless; ideally an o-ring/valve lubricant such as Molykote 111 (of cooking oils, steam-refined coconut oil is best))
Warnings

Steps
- Pull the cylinder and portafilter apart sideways over the sink so leftover water drains off.

- Rinse the brewing parts in cool water with no soap.

- Coat the o-rings lightly with an odourless, flavourless food-safe oil.

- Wipe off the excess oil.
