Before you start
- Tools
- dosing cup / tamper, clean cloth
- Supplies
- food-safe o-ring lubricant (light, odourless, flavourless; ideally an o-ring/valve lubricant such as Molykote 111 (of cooking oils, steam-refined coconut oil is best))
Warnings
- Keep soap off the brewing parts; it can affect how the espresso tastes. Source: Flair PRO 2 quick start guide, v7 April 2020
- Never wash Flair parts in a dishwasher. Source: Flair PRO 2 quick start guide, v7 April 2020
- If the lever still resists hard after oiling, the grind is likely too fine; never force the lever down. Source: Flair Help Center: My PRO2 plunger is not traveling smoothly through the brew head
