Steps

1. Heat the machine up until the boiler gauge shows working pressure, 1.0-1.2 bar.

2. Fit the blind filter in the portafilter.

   From the manual: “Place the blind filter into the portafilter.”

3. Put about 3-5 g of group cleaning powder in the blind filter.

4. Lock the portafilter into the group.

   From the manual: “Clamp the portafilter into the brew group.”

5. Lift the brew lever; the blind filter fills with water.

   From the manual: “Operate the group lever. The blind filter will fill with water.”

6. Move the lever to its middle position, about 45°, and let the cleaner work; do not lower it fully.

   From the manual: “Let the detergent react, moving the group lever into the middle position, approx. 45°.”

7. After 20-60 seconds, lower the lever fully so the oils drain through the group.

8. Repeat the lift, hold and lower cycle up to 10 times, until the discharge runs clear. Repeat up to 10 times, until the discharge runs clear

   From the manual: “Repeat steps 5-7 up to 10 times, until only clear water is discharged by the infusion cylinder.”

9. Rinse the portafilter and blind filter under fresh water and lock the portafilter back in.

   From the manual: “Rinse the portafilter and the blind filter with fresh water. Then replace it.”

10. Run the lever for about 40 seconds, then lower it.

    From the manual: “Operate the group lever for approx. 40 sek.”

11. Take the portafilter out, rinse it and run that flush once more.

    From the manual: “Remove the portafilter and repeat step 10.”

12. Put the 1- or 2-cup filter back in the portafilter.

    From the manual: “Place the filter for 1 or 2 cups into the portafilter.”
