Replace the group head gasket: Decent Espresso DE1, Decent Espresso DE1PRO and Decent Espresso DE1XL
Before you start
- Tools
- Decent gasket removal tool (thin dental-style pick), blind basket
- Supplies
- Decent silicone group head gasket (ID 57 mm, 8.5 mm thick (fits the DE1)); NBR rubber group head gasket (alternative) (ID 58 mm, 7.5 mm thick), optional
Warnings

Steps
- Slip the removal tool in along the outer edge of the old gasket.
From the manual: “Slide the gasket removal tool through the outside edge of the gasket.”
- Push the tool upwards past the gasket.

- Turn the tool so its tip hooks over the top of the gasket.

- Pull downwards to draw the gasket out of the group.

- Fit the new gasket with the side marked UP facing up into the group.

- Lock in a portafilter with the blind basket to seat the new gasket evenly.
