Steps

  1. Put the 1-cup filter basket in the portafilter.

    From the manual: “Insert the 1-cup coffee filter (C2) in the portafilter (C1)”

  2. Lay the cleaning disk accessory in the basket and press it down to the bottom.

    From the manual: “Put on the coffee filter the special disk accessory (C12)”

  3. Put one coffee-machine cleaning tablet on the disk.

    From the manual: “Put on the accessory the cleaning tab (fig. 43).”

  4. Lock the portafilter into the coffee outlet.

    From the manual: “Attach the portafilter to the coffee outlet (A7).”

  5. Fill the water tank and check the drip tray is empty.

    From the manual: “Fill the water tank (A15). Make sure the drip tray (A11) is empty.”

  6. Hold the Active Rinse button until its light blinks orange; the cleaning runs a few minutes and stops by itself.

  7. Remove the portafilter and the cleaning disk.

    From the manual: “Remove the portafilter and the cleaning disk accessory;”

  8. Rinse the portafilter and basket under the tap.

    From the manual: “Wash the portafilter and the filter under tap water;”

  9. Refit the portafilter with a container under it and press Active Rinse to rinse.

    From the manual: “Insert the portafilter again and make a rinse by pressing”

  10. Take out and empty the drip tray.

    From the manual: “Remove and empty the drip tray.”
