Before you start

Tools
damp cloth, cup or jug of at least 100 ml
Supplies
De'Longhi water softener filter DLSC002 (fits all Dedica and La Specialista models; up to 2 months); mild washing-up liquid (a little, for the tank), optional

Steps

  1. Take the water tank out and remove the spent filter from it.

  2. Wipe the tank out with a damp cloth and a little mild washing-up liquid, then rinse it.

  3. Fill the new filter with water before fitting it.

  4. Push the filter onto the coupling inside the water tank.

  5. Turn the date dial on the filter to mark when it went in.

  6. Fill the tank with fresh water and slide it back into the machine.

  7. Run off 100 ml of water to flush the new filter. Only when: Dedica models

    From the manual: “Deliver 100ml of water (models with water softener filter only).”

  8. Change the filter again within two months.

    From the manual: “can be used for up to 2 months”
