Descale the brew head and steam wand: Capresso Ultima Pro
Before you start
- Tools
- large container, screwdriver for the brew-head screen, damp cloth
- Supplies
- Capresso Cleaning Solution or a similar descaler (one packet in 30 oz of water)
Warnings

Steps
- Empty the water tank, then fill it with the descaler mixed into 30 oz of water.

- Take the portafilter out.

- For the best result, unscrew the brew-head screen and wipe away coffee residue with a damp cloth. Optional

- Stand a large container under the brew head.

- Press "Double Cup" and let the solution run into the container.

- Run "Double Cup" once more, then leave the machine to stand for 15 minutes.

- Press "Double Cup" again to push more solution through, then empty the container.

- Move the empty container under the steam wand.

- Press Hot Water and turn the steam knob anticlockwise to the steam icon; let the remaining solution flow out.

- Turn the steam knob clockwise to close it.

- Rinse the tank thoroughly, fill it with fresh cold water and put it back.

- Repeat the brew-head and steam-wand runs (steps 4 to 10) with the fresh water.

- Refit the brew-head screen and tighten its screw firmly.
