Run grinder cleaning tablets: Baratza Vario W+
Before you start
- Tools
- grounds bin
- Supplies
- grinder cleaning tablets (amount per the tablet maker's instructions); coffee beans for purging (about 30 g, discarded)
Warnings

Steps
- Empty the hopper, then press START/STOP to run out any coffee left in the grinder.
From the manual: “use the START/STOP (7) button to run the grinder to expel any coffee that remains in the grinder.”
- Set the grind setting to 10.

- Pour the tablet maker's recommended amount of tablets into the empty hopper.
From the manual: “place the recommended amount of the chosen cleaning tablets into the empty bean hopper.”
- Set the target weight to at least the weight of the tablets you loaded.
From the manual: “Set the target grind weight equal to or greater than the weight of the grinder cleaning tablets.”
- Put the grounds bin in place, press START/STOP and grind every tablet into the bin.
From the manual: “Insert the grounds bin, then press the START/STOP button. Grind all the tablets into the bin.”
- Grind about 30 g of coffee (or the tablet maker's amount) to clear tablet residue.

- Throw away the ground tablets and coffee.
