  2. Unplug the grinder before taking the hopper off.

From the manual: “Unplug the grinder from the power outlet before removing the hopper.”

  3. Turn the hopper all the way counterclockwise, to the triangle by setting 40, and lift it off.

From the manual: “Rotate the hopper completely counterclockwise so that the grind setting indicator is aligned with the triangle near grind setting 40.”

  4. If the hopper gasket came away with the hopper, set it back on the ring burr, thick side down inside the rim.

From the manual: “The hopper gasket may come off with the hopper.”

  5. Turn the adjustment ring fully counterclockwise with its two tabs; otherwise the ring burr stays locked.

From the manual: “Otherwise, the ring burr will be locked into place.”

  6. Lift the ring burr straight out by its two lifting tabs.

From the manual: “lift the ring burr straight up and out of the grinder.”

  7. For a more thorough clean, unscrew the quick-release knob clockwise and take it off with the small washer beneath. Optional

From the manual: “Twist the quick-release knob clockwise until removed.”

  8. Lift the cone burr straight up off the shaft. Optional

From the manual: “Lift the cone burr straight up and out of the grinder.”

  9. If parts under the cone burr come off too, lay them out in the order shown so they go back the same way. Optional

From the manual: “keep them arranged in the order shown for reinstallation.”

  10. Brush the burrs clean with the supplied brush, keeping them dry.

From the manual: “the burrs should be brushed off regularly (about once a month) with the included brush.”

  11. Brush loose grounds out of the burr chamber and the exit chute.

From the manual: “Clean inside the burr chamber and chute.”

  12. Put any removed parts back on the drive shaft in the order in the diagram. Optional

From the manual: “place them back on the drive shaft in the order shown in the diagram.”

  13. Seat the cone burr so the two lugs on part E engage part D and the two recesses under the burr. Optional

From the manual: “make sure that the two protrusions on part E are able to fit into the holes on part D”

  14. Screw the knob back on counterclockwise until turning it starts to turn the cone burr. Optional

From the manual: “Tighten until the cone burr starts to rotate when the knob is turned.”

  15. With the adjustment ring fully counterclockwise, line the red lifting tab up with the red mark and the three side tabs with the slots.

From the manual: “Align the red burr lifting tab with the red mark on the grind adjustment ring.”

  16. Press the ring burr down into place and check the gasket sits thick side down within its rim.

From the manual: “Press the ring burr down into place.”

  17. Set the hopper on at the triangle by 40, press down and turn clockwise until it clicks.

From the manual: “Push down on the hopper and rotate it clockwise until it starts to click.”
