Steps

1. Empty the hopper and grind out any beans still inside, using the switch or the pulse button.

   From the manual: “grind any remaining beans through using either the On/Off switch or the pulse button.”

2. Unplug the grinder before taking the hopper off.

   From the manual: “Unplug the grinder from the power outlet before removing the hopper.”

3. Turn the hopper all the way counterclockwise, until its indicator sits at the triangle by setting 40.

   From the manual: “Rotate the hopper completely counterclockwise so that the grind setting indicator is aligned with the triangle near grind setting 40.”

4. Lift the hopper off.

   From the manual: “Lift the hopper off of the grinder.”

5. Using the adjustment tabs, make sure the grind adjustment ring is turned fully counterclockwise.

   From the manual: “Ensure that the grind adjustment ring is turned fully counter-clockwise.”

6. Hold the ring burr by its lifting tabs and lift it straight out; keep track of the hopper gasket.

   From the manual: “The ring burr can be removed by lifting straight up while gripping the ring burr lifting tabs.”

7. Brush the ring burr and the cone burr clean with the brush that came with the grinder.

   From the manual: “the burrs should be brushed off regularly (about once a month) with the included brush.”

8. Brush loose grounds out of the burr chamber and the exit chute.

   From the manual: “Clean inside the burr chamber and chute.”

9. Grip the adjustment tabs and check the adjustment ring is still fully counterclockwise.

   From the manual: “Grip the grind adjustment tabs to ensure that the grind adjustment ring is rotated fully counterclockwise.”

10. Drop the ring burr in with its red lifting tab lined up with the red mark on the adjustment ring, close to setting 30.

    From the manual: “Insert the ring burr with the red burr lifting tab aligned with the red indicator on the grind adjustment ring.”

11. Check the ring burr is fully seated and the gasket sits on it, thick side inside the plastic rim.

    From the manual: “the hopper gasket is installed on top with the thicker side sitting within the plastic rim of the ring burr.”

12. Set the hopper on with its indicator at the triangle by 40, press down and turn clockwise until it clicks.

    From the manual: “Push the hopper down and rotate it clockwise until it starts to click.”
